About Marie Labbancz
I’m a professional photographer and a foodie too! A perfect combination for food photography.
I confess to a lifelong love affair with food. The taste, the smells, the presentation; it’s always been an art form to me. I’ve traveled the world, from New York to Barcelona, and dined at numerous great restaurants and home cooking is also a pastime of mine. It gives me a strong understanding of food. As a professional photographer for the past 20 years, it was only natural for me to combine these two pleasures. A good deal of my work has been in the luxury wedding and event market, forging connections with many talented caterers and chefs in the field. Over the years I’ve been asked to photograph foods by restaurants and caterers. Clients include Rat’s Restaurant, Brick Farm Tavern, Lacroix, Storico, Starr Restaurants, Constellation Culinary Group and Max Hansen Catering.
I prefer my work to speak for itself but I suppose you would like to know a little about my background. I studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York and began my professional career in 1999. In 2010 I was conferred the prestigious Master of Photography from Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and I’m also a recipient of Kodak Gallery Award and the Fuji Masterpiece Award. All this, and a foodie too!
I reside in the area of Princeton, NJ with my big beautiful Maine Coon, Mr. Darcy. He is a professional cat model and is available for assignments.
